It seems as though DIY products have gotten huge in this past decade; & for good reason! Why go out & spend loads of money when there’s less-expensive alternatives already in your home? Besides The Oil-Cleansing Method, some of my favorite beauty DIY’s include baking soda. These DIY’s are truly easy AND you will actually have these ingredients in your home.

I hate it when I’m searching for DIY treatments online & feel like I have to run all over town just to pick up the dang ingredients! Ugh. Don’t these people know that I have kids & a family??! To me, the idea of DIY is that one casually grabs ingredients out of one’s fridge, pantry, &/or cabinets, then quickly & easily whips up something magical!… Like the DIY’s below!

 HONEY LIP SCRUB

1/2 cup Honey

1/2 cup Baking Soda

1/2 oz. Olive Oil

Mix honey & baking soda thoroughly, then add olive oil. Gently scrub onto lips {you could even gently use a toothbrush}, rinse off. Apply moisturizer.

BRIGHTENING FACIAL MASK

2 tbsp. Baking Soda

1 tsp. Honey

Juice of 1/2 a Lemon

Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Apply to clean face & let sit for 10-15 mins. Rinse thoroughly. All ingredients have natural antibacterial qualities, thus are good for acne-prone skin. Lemons brighten the skin & honey is a natural moisturizer; still apply moisturizer afterward.

*Sensitive &/or Dry Skin: test the mask on a small portion of your skin 1st, before applying to entire face.

What are YOUR favorite Beauty DIY’s?
