When I was newly sober & diligently working the 12-steps, I would often get flustered because I felt that I wasn’t progressing quickly enough. My A.A. sponsor would gently say to me, “you are right where you’re supposed to be.” I found that so reassuring. Probably because it was true. And it’s true for all of us.
I encourage you to accept where you are. Because you’re meant to be there. And you’re likely doing much better than you think. Be gentle with yourself. Show yourself patience & compassion. You’re doing the best you can.
You are right where you’re supposed to be.
Enjoy the Beautiful Journey that Life Is!
