Mocktails & Easy Sweets

Mocktails & Easy SweetsIt’s no secret that I don’t like to cook, nor can I cook… nor bake. And that doesn’t change when the holidays roll around. It always amazes me how, during the holidays, people disappear into their kitchens for hours; only to return with containers upon containers full of beautiful, baked goodies. I wish, for my family’s sake, that was me. But it’s not. I’m convinced that if my husband were to leave me it would be for someone more domestic, which is pretty much everyone soooo… . yeah.

Nevertheless, the holidays are here & I’m going to have to make something! Naturally it will be dessert {I love my sweets} & naturally it will be the easiest thing I can find. So I thought I would share a couple I’ve made & one I plan to make {Red Velvet Cookies}. But I’m sure you don’t need these easy recipes… you’re probably in your kitchen right now, whipping up some elaborate gingerbread house!

Btw, I’m allergic to alcohol so I don’t drink it {if you want to know more, read More About Me}. Thus, I bring to you these yummy looking “Mocktails”. They can also be made with alcohol, so it’s a win-win! Enjoy!

Mocktail Collage1. Spiced Hot Cider | 2. Red Velvet Cookies | 3. Sleigh Driver | 4. Kahluaccino

On the Red Velvet Cookies, I plan on using cream cheese icing & possibly adding some green sprinkles to make them Christmas-y…ish.

Mocktail Collage5. Rolo Pretzel Delights | 6. Sparkling Cran Razzy | 7. Pomegranate Champagne Punch |    8. Virgin Garden-Fresh Bloody Mary

The Rolo Pretzel Delights are great with a pecan on top. I know they seem too simple but I promise that they are the 1st to go!

My aunt used to make Peanut Butter Blossoms every year. Every holiday season she made fudge, cream puffs, bourbon balls, & more! It was all so delicious.

Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies
My aunt used to make these every year… xo

Sometimes I make the peanut butter cookies from scratch like her, but most of the time I just buy a roll of peanut butter cookie dough & a package of hershey kisses. Who has the time? Or if you have the time, please explain why you do what you do? I just don’t get it. I want to though!
