This simple yet effective morning routine is something I learned in the rooms of A.A. I then personalized it to make it my own. You can do the same if you’d like! I fall away from it from time-to-time, but I always return to it. It helps me start my day off from the best possible place; a place of humility & gratitude. The key is to do it immediately upon awakening, before having contact with another human being.
I sometimes refer back to my readings throughout the day. I also make gratitude lists throughout the day as needed. You’d be surprised at how helpful they are when you find yourself growing resentful or simply frustrated in traffic. You don’t always need a pen & paper; I often make a quick one in my head.
